Rival good
This article defines a property of goods: a property that makes sense in the context of a good being bought and sold, and evaluated from the perspective of the buyer, seller, or others affected by it.

Definition
A rival good is a good for which one person's use of the good reduces or eliminates the possibility of others consuming the good.
Most goods are rival goods: for instance, eatables are rival goods. One person's consumption of a piece of an eatable makes it impossible for another person to consume the same good.
